For a little break from our ever increasing work load in the studio we gained the exciting opportunity to visit the new, mobile exhibition which is currently touring the UK to promote the Dundee Victoria and Albert museums opening in coming years.

Not sure what to expect we wandered down to the front of the School and were greeted with an elaborately decorated coach parked outside. Stepping into the space like you would any other bus, we were stunned to find that it was like walking through the door or any traditional museum.

The inside of the bus had been emptied out to make room for a black cubic shape to form the walls and floor allowing a gap in between to support the lighting. With 5 designers work on show the space really managed to maximise its full potential.

Receiving a short introduction to the display we were able to acquire a greater insight into what we should be expecting from the V & A when it opens.

It was really lovely and inspiring to see such innovative designs within such a contemporary space and knowing that it was all made locally within Scotland.

Now it is time to use this new inspiration to finish the project!
