'Preconceived Notions'

When I first arrived at university I had already formed these preconceived ideas of what my flatmates were like having seen them on social media.

I soon realised how wrong I had been. These illustrations address stereotypes of today such as the 'Serious penguin' or the 'Hipster Salmon'.

'R' is for Radio

From a series of layered illustrations in which I have created images out of the song lyrics of music heard on the radio.

'When two become one'

Taking a bunting flag and a piece of wartime propaganda to combine them into this stylised piece of illustration

'A paper night out'

Using the hundreds of flyers we receive on the University campus to create this mini story of a typical night out.

'The Chewing Gum Diaries'

Following the story of a packet of chewing gum as the different pieces are shared amongst friends and take on very different adventures in their short lives

A piece from a short exercise in which I tried to combine the A and B from 'Angie Brown' into one elegant line

'The Dolly Mixture'

A short story book following the potential future of a Barbie-style dystopian future which may come as a result of the increasing importance of beauty in society.
