Friday, the end of the week, the day of the presentation!

We decided to meet up a bit earlier than the 9am start timetabled for us to go over any last minute changes and check that everyone in the group was clear on what was going to happen during the presentation. As we could of guessed this morning was going to be the day that my laptop finally decided to stop working, making the last minute powerpoint tweaks quite a challenge! But we luckily managed to get hold of the program and sort it all out last minute before sitting back and waiting for the presentations commence.

As the morning progressed we watched as team after team delivered fantastic presentations about how they had spent their weeks. As every team had chosen a different topic to focus on including; grief, lost connections, social media etc it was very interesting to hear how they had tackled the issue of general wellbeing in such different ways to one another. Some teams had visited hospitals to speak to patients, created surveys and even used Facebook sites to contact suffers of PND. We were all extremely impressed with the concepts the other teams had created and in such a short space of time – making the whole experience truly inspiring to be a part of.

After break it was then time for us to present! A little nervous at first, we took to the floor and began our 20 slides. Talking the audience through our journey from brainstorming, research, more brainstorming, model making and eventually to final concept we began to realise that our idea seemed to be not that bad after all! It was then time for the tutors to question us further on our outcome. Surprisingly we found that although many of the questions were quite challenging we managed to respond to them all with educated, strong answers which left the team feeling really positive.

Soon enough it was time to do one last tidy up before leaving the room in which we had spent so much time in over the past week, it felt so bare and as a team we were quite sad to leave having had such a rewarding (even if it was hard at points) week!
